It is just recurrence of herpes zoster virus infection lying dormant in dorsal root ganglia of spinal cord. Timely treatment with a qualified dermatologist can get resolution of the condition as well as pain-free life. If not treated within few days, patient develops post herpetic neuralgia which is difficult as well as time consuming to treat.
