Skin allergy There was a time when the word allergy was very rare but now a days we see many persons telling they are allergic to some specific food, cream or drug. Allergy is nothing else but body's reaction to specific things which might be any drug, food or cloth or even a chemical or dust material. We see many patients of different allergy in our OPD, only 40% patients report within few days of beginning of allergy and respond very well on complete treatment. But 60% patients come with long term allergy who have been taking normal avil, levocet tablets on their own for long and show up to OPD when even these tablets do not work anymore. They have to take 3 4 month of treatment along with advice to avoid specific allergic material in future too. So basically, earlier to consult for allergy, lesser is the duration of treatment and better is the outcome.
