Vitiligo / કોઢ/ સફેદ દાગ Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease in which immunity starts working against melanin pigment of skin and patient starts developing white patches. It is totally asymptomatic in nature unless patients with widespread Vitiligo develops sunburn due to prolonged exposure to sun light. There are many myths as well as social stigma attached with Vitiligo. The myths are - it is not curable - even if it gets cured, it will recur - it is always hereditary in nature However all these myths are not true but it would take years to get these myths corrected. We ensure stopping of spread of vitiligo patches with repigmentation but patience is required from patient's side.
